The Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria Delta State chapter, Comrade Kenneth Okorie has enjoined Youths in the state to ensure that they get themselves registered, and get their Permanent Voters Card (PVCs) by utilizing every opportunities provided to them by stakeholders and more importantly the leadership of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to be eligible to vote and be voted for in the forthcoming 2023 general elections in Delta State and Nigeria in general.
Comrade Kenneth Okorie who doubles as the South-South Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria made this disclosure today being on Thursday, 16th June, 2022 in a press release made available to some group of Journalists in Asaba, Delta State capital as he tasked Youths in the state on the need to go to their various PVCs registration centres and get themselves registered.
He noted that this call is basically to awaken the spirit of all the leaders of voluntary Youths organizations in the 25 LGAs of the state to get their members informed on this development so as to avoid political aparty or not to disenfranchise the youths in the forthcoming 2023 general elections in Delta State and Nigeria in general.
The Youth leader then used the avenue to appeal to the Youths in the state to see the exercise as a compulsory tasks that must be taken with all element of seriousness so as to vote in credible leaders in Delta State and Nigeria in general as good governance cannot be gotten on a platter of gold.
He noted that, as party of his mandate as the Chairman of the Apex Youths organization in Delta State, that will soon embark on wider visitations of the leaders of different Voluntary Youth organizations in the state; organized and unorganized groups as regards to know the extent of PVCs collection and registration by Youths in the State.
