Prof. Sir Bashiru Aremu, a renowned Nigerian academic and professor of computer science and information technology, has etched his name in the annals of history as the first African UNESCO Laureate to bag prestigious International recognition from “Noble Book of World Records”, an official partner of United Nations Environment with support of Non-Olympic Times and other Organizations
Worldwide.

Shocknaija Media (News Online) learnt this from The First African UNESCO Laureate in a statement today being Saturday, October 25, 2025 made available to Journalists in Asaba, Delta State capital by Aremu’s Executive Assistant on Media, Publicity & Communication Matters, Comrade Sir Bieni Victor Emenike as he stated that, “the global excellence award is a testament to Aremu’s outstanding contributions to education, science, technology, peace, and humanity.

Aremu had in the release reacted to NWR’s award of excellence in Education and international recognition as he commended the leadership of Noble Book of World Records led by its Editor-in-Chief, H.E, Mohammad Saraj ANSARI, Publishing Editor, H.E, Thiyagu Nagaraj as he promises more commitment to global education, research, Innovation and service to humanity.
