The Founder/Executive Director of Delta Cultural Initiative (DCI-Worldwide), Comrade Sir Bieni Victor Emenike has cautioned the Executive Assistant To Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Strategic Communication, Barrister Fred Latimore on choice of words when he described the National Coordinator, Centre For Peace And Environmental Justice (CEPEJ), foremost NGO in Nigeria, Comrade Chief Sheriff Mulade as a “Mischievous person” with a call on Deltans to disregard the wrong notion being propounded by Latimore.

In a press statement by the leadership of DCI-WORLDWIDE, which was made available to newsmen in Asaba, Delta State capital on Tuesday, 16th, August, 2022, implored Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to look inwards and see Comrade Mulade as a great talent in the State that cannot be wished away by millions of Latimore.

Comrade Sir Bieni Victor Emenike enjoined the Delta State Government on the need to constantly update people of the state development issues, projects in their various domains, and not using the approach of “Medicine After Death”,

He urged Latimore to use better choice of languages in communication for good feedback mechanisms as well as learn more approaches on the key principles of Development Communication as a discipline in the field of Mass Communication, which according to him is completely different from his area of specialization to better himself in the job of Strategic Communication

He noted that it is an integral part of his job that he is yet to excel to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration that has done very well in terms of infrastructural development.

While raining praises on Comrade Mulade for his consistency, developmental initiatives in the civic space as the voice of the citizens, urged Governor Okowa to help his office, saying that he had gone through Mulade’s comments on development issues in Delta State and discovered that it is a wake up call for all hands to be on desks for sustainable development of Delta State and Niger-Delta Region as well as an inspiration to prompt credible individuals, especially Youths with passion for leadership, develop a culture of self-employment, self-reliance and self-discovery for socio-political, economic and cultural development of the State rather than depending solely on Governments.

He used the medium to call on Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to see Comrade Mulade as a blessing to Delta State, Niger-Delta and Nigeria and the rest of the World, noting that the CEPEJ Boss should not be amongst those categorized as false propagandist, Political Jobbers and sycophants but has been one of the foremost Deltans that has strengthened Okowa’s administration through constructive engagement and leadership by example in the civic space and development works.

While thanking the Governor for the support he has in the past and at present given to well known Deltans in development works, he urged the Delta State Government to see Comrade Mulade’s comments as a wake up call for Political leaders in the State to do more for their Constituents, see governance as service to Deltans.

He also enjoined Governor Okowa to support Comrade Mulade to actualize his dream by initiating and advocating for Coastal Areas Development Agency “CADA Bill” to compliment the State government development strides in the riverine areas of the State and appeal to the Delta State House of Assembly to give speedy consideration and passage to give sense of belonging to the riverside people.

This, he said, will prompt Comrade Mulade to do more for the citizens if given opportunities in the State

“This will equally be a sign of appreciation for the good works the Niger-Delta Activist has been doing to support the Local, State, and Federal Governments with his resources in various ways”, he stated.

He also counselled Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on the need to look inwards and shop for a well grounded Development Communicator with vast experience in Journalism, development works, volunteerism, and passion for humanity that will leverage on his several developmental strides, especially in the area of infrastructural development in this present administration, especially at this time he is heading for a greater National Assignment.

He said: “Mulade could be likened to a Pan-Deltan, Niger-Deltan with passion to serve humanity, the society at large. He is passionate, courageous, non-tribalistic, possesses uncommon talent, full of wisdom and zeal to serve Humanity”.

Comrade Mulade might have missed his steps by not knowing the fact that every administration in Delta State has in one way or the other positively affected the lives of its citizens. This is a call to Delta State Government to look inwards and utilize the great talents of these Youths, Deltans that have made themselves available, those that are ready to serve the less-privileged citizens, the voiceless Deltans with all their hearts”.

“We might not have benefited in all the administrations in our dear State, but the truth is that, every administration in the State has accomplished one tasks or the other that has helped the citizens to grow. Also, we must note that, Comrade Mulade remains the collective voice of Deltans, Niger-Deltans, Nigerians in this 21st century. Comrade Mulade is not known as a paid- critics of the Government, rather he has in several occasions proferred Solutions to problems faced by all tiers and levels of Government”, he added.

He also said that; “He has commended, supported individuals, groups, Communities, Local Governments, Delta State Government as well as the Federal Government in different areas such as the exercise of human rights actions, peace-building, Development Initiative in different sectors of the economy or SDGs sectors”.
