Special Assistant (SA) to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on political matters, and State Coordinator, Core Delta Youth, Comrade Ambassador Uyero Erarawewho Jnr today being on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, has congratulated Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevweri, PDP 2023 Governorship Candidate for his landslide victory as Governor-elect of Delta State in the March 18, 2023 Gubernatorial elections in Delta State.
The media learnt this today being on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from the Governor Okowa’s aide on political matters who doubles as the State Cordinator, “Core Delta Youth” in a press statement made available to some group of Journalists in Asaba, Delta State capital as he tasks Delta Governor-elect on hundred percent Youths inclusiveness and good governance.
You could recall that yesterday being on Monday, March 20, 2023 had announced the candidate of PDP for the 2023 Gubernatorial elections in Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as Delta Governor-elect. Sheriff Oborevwori scored a total of 360, 234 votes in 21 LGAs to beat his closest rival, Delta APC Guber candidate, Senator Ovie Omo Agege who scored 240, 229 votes in 4 LGAs of Delta State in the March 18, 2023 Gubernatorial elections.
Core Delta Youth, a formidable PDP socio- political pressure group with decades of massive Youths mobilization. Core Delta Youth has political structures in the three Senatorial Districts, entire 25 LGAs, Political Wards and polling units of the state. The group had from day one stood its ground towards contributing for the victory of the PDP candidate from primary to general elections and eventual victorious out of the party in March 18, 2023 Guber & HOAs elections in Delta State.
Ambassador Uyero who described Oborevwori as a seasoned lawmaker, grassroots politician, humble, generous and good spirited political leader, then congratulated Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori on his victory as Delta Governor-elect. He noted further that, “Oborevwori’s victory is a victory for all Deltans as he urged him to ensure hundred percent Youths inclusiveness in his regime as Governor of Delta State.
The statement by Core Delta Youth Boss reads in parts: “Deltans had proved to the governor-elect, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori that he is the choice of the people, that citizens of the state have total confidence on the ideologies of PDP. We urge the Delta Governor-elect to ensure that he implements in totality his MORE Agenda for Delta people when Inaugurated come this year May 29, 2023 as new Delta State Governor”.
“We urge you to maintain continuity as regards the developmental strides of this present administration led by my Boss, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa by ensuring that all inclusive, and good governance is attained for sustainable socio-political, economic and sustainable development in Delta State”.
“We also urged other contestants to accept the result of the election. We urged you reconcile every aggrieved members of our party and ensure that you carry all Deltans along in you policies and programs of administration. We also use this medium to appeal to every Deltan and other residents of the State to support and cooperate with Oborevwori as the Governor of Delta State”.
