The Executive Director (Projects), of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Chief Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu, welcomed a courtesy visit from the current General Manager of The Pointer, Mrs. Rosemary Nwaebuni, former GM Mr. Godfrey Ubaka, and board members.


The meeting was held in the DESOPADEC boardroom in Warri, reaffirming the partnership and commitment to aligning with the Delta State Government’s MORE Agenda.

Speaking during the visit, The (Brand New) G.M, Mrs. Rosemary Nwaebuni expressed appreciation for Okorodudu and emphasized the importance of continued support for his efforts in creating positive impacts. “His presence will benefit many communities and Nigeria as a whole,” she remarked.


“We are here to celebrate with you today and appeal for support that will help him accomplish great things.”

Rosemary stated, “We felt it, but I said, well, where he’s going is better than where we are”
“We have come to felicitate with you this day. We are equally appealing to you to give them that support that will enable him to do great and many more things for us” ” she said.

The past General Manager, Mr. Ubaka praised Okorodudu’s transformative leadership at DPPC and highlighted the corporation’s growth during his tenure. He expressed hope for ongoing collaboration to enhance The Pointer’s role in promoting development in oil-producing areas, stating, “DESOPADEC is lucky to have him.”
He noted that the once-obscure corporation has transformed under his leadership, leading to staff sorrow upon his recent appointment to a new position. “We may not know how long he will stay, but his expertise will leave a lasting legacy and will undoubtedly propel DESOPADEC to new heights,” He said.

In response, Okorodudu lauded The Pointer’s commitment to responsible journalism and assured continued support for the team. He stressed the need to generate stories that reflect the governor’s development projects, while also commending the board’s unity.

Mr Ojji emphasized the importance of partnership and sharing information about the Governor Sheriff’s ongoing projects in various communities, stating, “Many are unaware of ongoing projects in their communities, and it’s our responsibility to share this information”
While, Mr. Michael expressed gratitude for Chief Okorodudu’s caring spirit and the positive impact his live and in lives of The Pointer staffs.

Okorodudu lauded Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration for its rapid progress and expressed confidence in its ability to succeed in its developmental agenda.

He further stressed the importance of generating stories that align with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, a policy framework aimed at advancing the ongoing and incoming projects.
“No gate of hell can prevail over Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration,” God will continue to grant him wisdom, grace, and the resources needed to multiply the dividends of democracy in Delta State,” Okorodudu declared.Presents at the courtesy visit are : the General Manager; Mrs. Rosemary Nwaebuni, the past General Manager; Mr. Godfrey Ubaka, Hon.
