The First African UNESCO Laureate, Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu, has commended daughter’s courage, academic excellence and achievements as Mrs. Maryam Adeyemi (Nee Aremuola) graduates with First Class, bags Bachelor of Arts Degree in Islamic Studies with Specialization in Holy Quran Memorization Techniques from Crown University Intl. Chartered Inc in USA.
Aremu while applauding this great feats as attained by her daughter stated that, this is in recognition of her Prior initiatives and plans to launch the University’s Quran Memorization Techniques Unit-Department of Islamic Studies in line with her area of academic discipline as Maryam successfully defended her Bachelor’s Degree Research in Islamic Studies with Specialization in Quran Memorization Techniques. Mrs Maryam Adeyemi’s supervisor, Dr Tajudeen Abefe Oladejo is a lecturer in Department of Islamic Studies, University of Ilorin who also doubles as Crown University’s visiting Scholar.
Shocknaija Media (News Online) learnt this today being on Sunday, July 27, 2025 from the First African UNESCO Laureate, Prof. Sir Bashiru Aremu as hee commends his daughter Mrs. Maryam Adeyemi Nee Aremuola for her courage, academic excellence and achievements in education as she bags first class in Islamic Studies.
She had completed her Koran memorization, which is 6,666 verses of the Holy Koran apart from the fact that she entered her marital life with her virginity. She is also blessed in her marital life. Mrs. Maryam Adeyemi is also, currently undergoing her Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. Her research project topic is :”The Roles of Quran Moral Excellence on the Lives of Muslim Society: An Exposition”
The media learnt that Maryam’s convocation ceremony was held at University of Lagos. Also, that Mrs. Maryam Adeyemi (Nee Aremuola) was excited as she appreciate the following Distinguished scholars from Crown University Int’l, USA: Dr Tajudeen Abefe Oladejo, a Lecturer in the department of Islamic Studies, University of Ilorin who doubles as Crown University Intl. Chartered Inc in USA visiting Scholar, currently serves as Federal National Commissioner of The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON). Dr Tajudeen was recently appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Prof Aremu stated: “Despite the tight schedule of Dr. Tajudeen, he still find time to supervise Maryam’s research project. I must also commend the roles played by the following Distinguished Lecturers scholars, academia, Professors from Crown University Int’l, USA: Prof Abdul Azeee Shittu of University of Abuja, Dr Muritala Muhammed of University of Abuja, Dr Barr Kamru Mojeed Bello of Crown University, University of Abuja, Dr Chris Egbu, Associate Prof N Simon, Mr Taofiq Balogun the Coordinator of her program during her research project Defense.
