Sir Salihu Haruna, a Lecturer in Crown University Int’l Chartered Inc. USA, has celebrated the Vice-Chacellor, Crown University Int’l, USA for his outstanding achievements as the academic community abuzz with the remarkable achievements of Prof. Sir Bashiru Aremu, the First African UNESCO who recently marked his one-year anniversary as the Africa Head & Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Unity of Nations Action for Climate Change Council (UNACCC).
Shocknaija Media (News Online) learnt this from Deputy General Secretary, UNACCC, Sir Salihu Haruna in a telephone conversation with our reporter today being Wednesday, November 12, 2025 as he celebrated Prof Aremu’s remarkable academic achievements, global contributions in international education, ICT, Science and Technology.
In the words of Sir Salihu Haruna: “I use this medium to join the global academic community to celebrate the First African UNESCO Laureate as he recently marked his One Year Anniversary as Africa Head and Chairman of Board of Trustees, UNACCC. Prof. Aremu is a renowned academician, author, and professor of Computer Science and Information Communication Technology. He has garnered numerous accolades, including the prestigious UNESCO Science Prize, for his outstanding contributions to technological development in society”.
“Prof. Aremu has obtained post-doctoral degrees from esteemed institutions which included amongst others are: West Coast University, US, and Maha Satra University of Satra Angor Institute, Kingdom of Cambodia. He had Dual Doctorate Degrees in Computer Science and Information Technology from Universidad Empresarial de Costa Rica, Central America. He was awarded an honorary doctorate degree in Higher Education and International Relations from the Royal University of the Kingdom of Atlantis, Singapore’.
