As 2023 draws close, Delta State Political Assembly (DSPA), a socio-political pressure group working for the victory of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta and Nigeria in general; popularly called “Okowa We Know, Okowa We Support” in 2018- 2019 and “Sheriff We Know, Sheriff We Support” in 2023 has stated that its members are committed to the victory of all PDP Candidates come 2023, next year’s general elections as Delta State Commissioner For Girl Child Entrepreneurship & Development, South- South Coordinator, Atiku Support Organization, And The Chairman, Delta State Collegiate Council (APCO), Hon. Dr. Nkechi Enumah-Chukura today Inaugurates State Executives in Asaba, Delta State.
The media learnt this today being on Thursday, 20th day of October, 2022 during the State Inauguration of one of the PDP political support groups held at Nelrose Hotels, Asaba, Delta State capital as convener, Prince UZ Idabor, group’s State Coordinator, Comrade Williams Ugbo preaches unity, love, then tasked members on commitment to ensure PDP’s victory come 2023, group goes spiritual for their principal, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
In a welcome address as presented by a renowned hospital guru, CEO of Nelrose Hotels, Asaba, who doubles as the convener of Delta Political Assembly, Prince UZ Idabor has hailed the developmental strides of Governor Okowa’s administration and the excellent administrative qualities he discovered in Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori whom he described as his very good friend. He stated that, his group will work assiduously for the victory of PDP come 2023, while he commended DPA Leadership led by its Co-ordinator, Comrade Williams Ugbo, State Executives and members for their Commitment to a better Delta State over the years.
Speaking prior to the Inauguration of the entire State Executives of Delta Political Assembly, the Senior Special Adviser To Governor Ifeanyi Okowa On Political Matters (SPOLAD), Hon. Funkekeme Solomon who represented his Boss, Sen. Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, the Executive Governor of Delta State And Vice Presidential Candidate to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, PDP’s Presidential Candidate for the forthcoming 2023 general elections in Nigeria declared the occasion open as he stated that he is confident that PDP will win come 2023. He Commended the political strength of Delta Political Assembly in terms of number and calibre of people in the political structure. He then enjoined the leadership of Delta PDP Support Groups Collegiate Council For Atiku/Okowa 2023 (APCO), particularly Delta Political Assembly to embark on massive grassroots mobilization, sensitization in their respective Local Government Areas, Wards and Polling units so as to ensure that PDP wins the forthcoming 2023 general elections in Delta State and Nigeria in general.
Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu, The Chief of Staff to Oborevwori, who represented the Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly and Governorship Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the forthcoming 2023 general elections in Delta urged the leadership of Delta Political Assembly stated that Oborevwori had asked him to congratulate the group on her today’s inaugural ceremony in Asaba. He then used medium to appeal all PDP support groups to continue in their grassroots sensitization, mobilizations for PDP, support him in their prayers as he is poised to building with Deltans in his campaign policy of “, Advancing Delta State”.
He added that he is poised towards Promoting meaningful development; for laudable infrastructural and human capital development and achieving a realistic vision for Youths and Women Development, empowerment and employment. He urged the leadership of Delta Political Assembly to be highly committed in their support for PDP, his ambition and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration that victory is sure by God’s Grace come 2023.
While delivering his speech by DPA State Co-ordinator, Comrade Williams Ugbo as read by the group’s Secretary, Comrade Warri Eriques in that epoch-making Inaugural ceremony, State Coordinator, Delta Political Assembly, Ugbo narrated briefly the origin, historical background of the group, stated that DPA is a grassroots socio-political pressure group that has continued to show support to PDP administration, strong commitment to Governor Okowa’s prosperity for all Deltans, stronger Delta agenda as established since 2018 formerly known as OKOWA WE KNOW, OKOWA WE SUPPORT group and now known with a new slogan: SHERIFF WE KNOW, SHERIFF WE SUPPORT with formidable political structure in the three Senatorial Districts, 25 LGAs of the State; entire wards and polling units of Delta State.
He commended all the members of the group for coming out enmass to grace the Executives Inauguration in Asaba. The group then celebrated the success of this PDP administration led by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, while charging its members on PVCs collection, also used medium to appeal to Deltans to pray for Sheriff so as to build woyh him in 2023. The leadership also thanked the Leadership of APCO, PDP faithfuls, the media and other participants for celebrating with, being part of the group’s success.
Delta State Commissioner For Girl Child Entrepreneurship & Development, South-South Co-ordinator, Atiku Support Organization and Chairperson, Delta State Collegiate Council of All Atiku Support Groups (APCO), Dr. Mrs Nkechi Enumah-Chukura who then Inaugurated the Executives, administered the oath of office to the entire State Executives and 25 LGAs Coordinators of of Delta State Political Assembly enjoined the leadership to work for the victory of PDP come 2023.
Prior to the Commissioners additional appeal to the leadership of Delta Political Assembly on the need to intensify on grassroots sensitization for PDP, she had led the leadership in prayers and supplications for their principal; the victory of the DTHA Speaker, Rt. Sheriff Oborevwori in tomorrow’s awaiting Supreme Court’s verdict so as to emerge victorious as Delta PDP Guber Candidate. While assuring the people of victory for PDP and Sheriff, she then used the medium to appeal to all PDP support groups in the State under APCO to work in unity, love, ensure that they go down to evangelze the grassroots for the party PDP victory come 2023 in their various Local Government Areas, Wards, and Polling units. She noted finally that this is the time for groups to embark on massive Campaign.
Dr. Mrs Nkechi Enumah-Chukura, the Girl Child Commissioner was accompanied by her entourage which included amongst others are: Adm. Tola O. Anthony Okocha, PDP faithfuls Committee Members of the Collegiate Council and other top Government Functionaries.
Before the event came to a closure, a vote of thanks was said by the State Coordinator, Delta Political Assembly, Comrade Williams Ugbo who appreciated God for the success of the Inauguration, used the medium to thank the Converner of the group, the CEO Nelrose Hotels Asaba, Prince UZ Idabor, Delta State Government led by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Sheriff Oborevwori their Principal, the Chairperson of Delta Collegiate Council All PDP Support Groups For Atiku/Okowa 2023, the Executives of Delta State Political Assembly, Members of DSPA, the media and all party PDP faithfuls for their support and for being part of the event Success. He prayed to God to guide and lead them home safely as they journey back to their various homes.
